Candle Safety and Burning Instructions explained.

Hello Everyone.

I wanted to go over the directions and warnings listed on your candle. These are the specific warnings from our current warning labels in red and blue.

*Warning* To prevent fire and serious injury: Burn within sight. Keep away from drafts. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

These instructions are to keep you safe. For maximum safety use common sense, if it seems unsafe DON”T DO IT.

To add to this warning, never move a burning candle.

If you have any questions about any of the specific statements in this warning, email us and we will explain the reasons behind them.

*Burning Instructions* Trim wick to 1/4 inch before lighting. Keep candle free of any foreign materials. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

These are the instructions to get the most enjoyment out of your candles. They are for a combination of safety and maximum enjoyment.

A properly trimmed wick will burn longer, cleaner, and better. We recommend trimming the wick before every burn, on every candle.

Keeping the candle free of debris follows trimming. A loose piece of wick, a matchstick, or another piece of debris left in the candle could be potentially cause the candle to burn out of control. A large flame both burns your candle up quicker, and runs the risk of causing a fire.

Burning a candle on a level surface allows it to burn more evenly, and should a wick come loose it will more likely stay centered. In the event a wick becomes off centered, extinguish the candle and use a paperclip or similar item to recenter it. With taper candles or pillars burning on an uneven surface could also result in wax spills.

Burning candles on a fire resistant surface is also for safety. A burning candle can get very hot. You should only burn a candle on a surface that can handle heating up.

Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time. If you burn a candle too long it will get very hot. You should never move a burning candle. If the candle needs relocated extinguish it and allow it to cool before moving.

Please enjoy your candles safely.
